Boy goes on online to find love. So does girl. Both of them kiss frogs without magical transformation. 

Then, one day (he remembers the date, she doesn’t) algorithms collide and they meet.

He knows. Quickly.  She is a slow driver and slow in love.  Snail like, really.  

They read together.  Him, non-fiction. Her, historical fiction. 

They work out together.  Three whole times. 

They cook together. Only one fire so far. 

They travel together.  Costa Rica, Mexico, France, Italy, Albers, Illinois. It’s all very glamorous. 

They spend 8,947 hours on the sofa talking. They have to get a new sofa.  

Most importantly, they fall in love with one another’s kids. The real kind of love where you kinda want to kill them and then revive them so you can tell them how much you love them.  

There is anime and cosplay. Makeup and volleyball.  Basketball and baseball.  And Lots and lots of Settlers of Catan. There's an occasional good loser at the table.

There are illness and joys, spills and stains, graduations and losses, and so much laughter.  It’s all special, and hard, and easy, and full because it’s ours.

Join us as we finally make our family official, though he’s known it to be much more than that for a very long time. Per usual, she’s catching up.
